The Philosophy Behind DELVE
From 1999 onward, our Founder and CEO Greg Sobiech had worked on both the agency side with Digitas, and on the client side managing digital budgets for Bath & Body Works and several Manhattan-based startups.
During that time, Greg recognized that digital advertising had enormous potential for improvement. Specifically, he believed that measurement, data, and data science should be the backbone of any large-scale brand and performance advertising program. He felt that brands that want to grow faster than their competitors, and to see consistent increases in RoAS, should view advertising through the lens of their own first-party data.
By January 2011, Greg made a choice: rather than continuing down the CMO career path, he took the leap, quit his day job, and made DELVE his full-time gig.
Our Major Milestones
The nascent DELVE team mapped out the company’s vision of becoming a “measurement-first advertising consultancy” by executing a three-phased approach:
- In 2011, we focused on building the measurement data foundation by becoming a certified sales partner of Google and offering web analytics support for tools including Google Tag Manager 360, Google Analytics 360 and Adobe Analytics.
- In 2014, we layered on hands-on media management services with Campaign Manager 360, Display & Video 360, The Trade Desk, Google Ads, Facebook, and more.
- In 2016, we added the last piece to the puzzle—Data Science and Engineering—in Google Cloud Platform and AWS.
Today DELVE’s mission is to transform how DTC brands manage their first-party data, and how that data is activated in brand and performance advertising, by:
- Creating a strong data and measurement foundation
- Partnering with brands on brand and performance media management
- Offering brands enterprise-grade MarTech and AdTech as a certified reseller of platforms such as Google Marketing Platform
- Helping brands grow their top-line revenues faster, and with a stronger RoAS than their competitors
